Meet Potenza: A New Approach to RF Microneedling at Healthy Glow Med Spa

Glow Med Spa in Orlando. Learn how this customizable treatment supports smoother, firmer and more refreshed-looking skin.
There are some treatments we bring into Healthy Glow because they're new — and then there are treatments we choose because they give us another way to create thoughtful, personalized results for our patients.
Potenza RF Microneedling is one of those treatments.
We're excited to introduce Potenza at Healthy Glow Med Spa in Baldwin Park, Orlando, and if you've already heard the name but aren't quite sure what it does, this is the perfect place to start.
So, What Exactly Is Potenza?
Potenza combines two technologies you may already be familiar with: microneedling and radiofrequency (RF) energy.
During treatment, ultra-fine needles create controlled microchannels in the skin while radiofrequency energy is delivered at selected depths beneath the surface. This process supports the body's natural healing response and encourages the remodeling of collagen and elastin.
What makes Potenza especially interesting to us is how customizable the technology is. Potenza incorporates monopolar and bipolar RF capabilities at 1 or 2 MHz, giving providers different ways to deliver treatment based on the patient's skin, treatment area and goals.
In simpler terms?
Your skin isn't one-size-fits-all, so your treatment shouldn't be either.
Why Collagen Matters
We talk about collagen often in aesthetics, but it helps to understand why.
Collagen and elastin contribute to the structure, firmness and elasticity of the skin. As our skin changes with age and environmental exposure, we can begin to notice concerns such as fine lines, uneven texture and changes in firmness.
Potenza treatments are designed to stimulate the body's natural process of producing and remodeling collagen and elastin, so improvement develops progressively rather than creating an overnight change.
And that's exactly why this treatment fits so well with our philosophy at Healthy Glow.
We're not looking to make you look like someone else.
We want to help your skin look like the healthiest, most refreshed version of you.
What Can Potenza Help Address?
Depending on your skin and individualized treatment plan, Potenza may be used when we're looking to improve the appearance of concerns such as:
Fine lines and wrinkles
Uneven or rough texture
Enlarged-looking pores
Acne scars and textural irregularities
Mild skin laxity
Dull-looking skin
Overall skin quality and firmness
Potenza can also be used on multiple areas of the face and body, making it a versatile option when we're creating a larger skin rejuvenation plan.
Why Did We Bring Potenza to Healthy Glow?
Because our patients aren't all asking for the same thing.
Some want to soften lines without dramatically changing their appearance.
Some love their injectables but want to focus more on the actual quality of their skin.
Some are noticing texture or acne scarring.
Others simply feel like their skin isn't as firm, smooth or vibrant as it used to be.
Potenza gives us another tool to look at the bigger picture.
Instead of asking only, “What can we fill?” or “What can we relax?” we can also ask:
How can we improve the skin itself?
And sometimes, that's exactly what a patient has been missing.
Not quite.
Traditional microneedling and Potenza both use controlled microchannels to encourage the skin's natural renewal response.
The major difference is that Potenza adds radiofrequency energy.
The RF component gives us another level of customization by allowing energy to be delivered beneath the skin while microneedling is performed.
That doesn't mean traditional microneedling suddenly doesn't have a place. We offer different treatments because different patients need different things.
During your consultation, we'll help determine which approach makes the most sense for your skin. Read more about Potenza vs. Traditional Microneedling here.
What About Downtime?
Potenza is minimally invasive, but your skin has still been treated.
Temporary redness, warmth, sensitivity or swelling may occur afterward. How your skin responds will depend on factors including treatment depth, settings, treatment area and your individual skin.
You'll receive specific aftercare instructions so you know exactly what to use, what to avoid and how to care for your skin following treatment.
The Biggest Thing We Want You to Know
Potenza isn't about chasing a completely different face.
It's about creating healthier-looking skin from the foundation up.
We love injectables. We love skincare. We love treatments that address volume, movement and facial balance.
But beautiful aesthetic results also begin with skin quality.
And we're excited to now have another way to address it.
